Basic Green Juice Recipe
Green Cell Rejuvenator
1 whole celery stalk
1 oz wheatgrass shot
1 piece of ginger
12 small pink lady apples
(or 3 green apples)
This cell rejuvenating green juice, will restore the sodium and potassium lost from a strenuous workout. Added to this blend is wheatgrass, the most mineral and nutrient dense plant. Wheatgrass contains numerous health benefits; promoting immediate alkalinity to neutralizing many toxic substances in our environment, such as cadmium, nicotine and mercury. Wheatgrass also contains twelve amino acids including the eight essential amino acids: phenylalanine, valine, threonine, trytophan, isoleucine, methionine, leucine and lysine. Essential amino acids are those that the body cannot create, they must be obtained through one’s diet. –This is a refreshing drink with a cleansing punch, but tempered by the apples.
Process all ingredients through a juicer. A centrifugal juicer will not process fresh wheatgrass, use a masticating juicer or purchase pre-juiced wheatgrass from your local juice bar. Make sure to check out our juicer review.
