Select whole coconuts with the white husk around them. Brown husk coconuts are known as mature coconuts, their liquids are less mineral-rich.

Crack open coconut and strain liquid through a nut milk bag.

Set your liquid aside and process your produce through a juicer. Combine the coconut water with your fresh pressed juice.

Coconut water – Replenish hydration levels in the body. Anti-aging, anti-carcinogenic, and anti-thrombotic, anti-fungal, anti-bacterial, anti-viral effects. Natural weight loss.

Celery – Cancer protecting agents. Tones vascular system and  lowers blood pressure.

Collard greens – Contains cancer preventing properties. Anti-oxidant support, which helps lowers the risk of oxidative stress in our cells.

Basil – Protects cell structure and chromosomes from radiation and free-radical damage.

Turmeric – Anti-inflammatory, relieves inflammation and pain. Destroys mature cancer cells, so they can’t spread through the body.

Ginger – Reduce inflammation, excellent for people with osteoarthritis or rheumatoid arthritis.

Apple – Reduce risk of heart disease, cancer, asthma and type 2 diabetes.

My main purpose for creating this green juice recipe was to have a drink that would restore electrolytes, nutrients and minerals lost after an intense workout, but can also be consumed before. I also wanted to make sure this drink would help with reducing inflammation and any soreness. This green juice does all that and provides a natural vegan protein (spirulina) to the body. I’ve included many anti-inflammatory vegetables, which is beneficial for those with conditions like arthritis.

Show this recipe some love by liking and share with your friends.
