Watermelon Nutrition
Watermelon is a heart healthy fruit because it contains high amount of lycopene, an important phytonutrient for the heart and bone health. Watermelon is a great cleansing food, because it is loaded with water and essential minerals like potassium. Watermelon is also a great source of citrulline, an amino acid. Citrulline is converted by our bodies in to arginine (an essential amino acid). Arginine helps improve blood flow in the arteries of the heart, decrease blood pressure for those with high blood pressure and it may help with erectile dysfunction.
